BJC architects inc. was initially established in 1967 under the direction of Karl Briestensky as a sole proprietor in Guelph.

Today BJC architects inc. has developed into a mid sized architectural firm with over 47 years of experience and a staff averaging 35 people. Headed by Barry R. Johnson, the firm provides a full range of services for diverse building types and styles throughout Ontario and Canada.

Providing services to a wide range of clients including national corporations, developers, municipalities and school boards to single family home owners has enabled us to develop clear, effective and efficient strategies in design, organization and management. 

Our staff is our greatest resource enabling us to maintain a sensitive & personal service to address the scale, complexity and scope of each project.

A continuing investment in educational seminars and "in-house" training for sustainable practices, new procedures & technologies including LEED certification offers our clients a wealth of experience and expertise.

BJC architects inc. maintains a license in provinces across Canada providing valuable insight and exposure to Provincial and National Building Codes, Fire Codes and Accessibility Standards.
